About Us | Day Funeral Service

History & Staff

We have years of experience caring for families, from all walks of life. Each family comes to us because they know we are leaders in our profession, dedicated to excellence in service, and have the highest integrity.

Our History

The Pine Box Agency and Day Funeral Service are locally owned and operated by Licensed Funeral Directors. The company was established in 2008 and has helped hundreds of families plan for life’s challenges when planning for a death. Our company meets families at our funeral service in Gahanna, Ohio or Canal Winchester, OH.  We also welcome the opportunity to visit you in your home or another convenient location of your choice and provide you with all funeral options. We also can perform a free assessment of possible death benefits that may be available to you from social security or the veterans administration. Our goal is to help you in any capacity whether it be referring you to the proper professional for whatever questions or challenges you may be facing in health care, Medicaid qualification, estate planning, advance directives, insurance policy review, funeral planning, death care options or senior life events planning. Our company is dedicated to giving you free advice and consultations to help support your family to make the right decisions for you and your loved one.

R.A.R Monuments has been helping families in Ohio and the surrounding areas remember their loved ones since our beginning in 1992. We are proud to be locally owned and operated, and we cherish the opportunity to serve our customers! Our artists have actively sought to develop the skills and knowledge they need to create custom, personalized memorials which has gained them much recognition in the State of Ohio. R.A.R. Monument’s memorial artwork can be seen literally in almost every cemetery statewide.

Memorials are an important way of honoring and remembering the lives of our loved ones. R.A.R Monuments is dedicated to helping local families understand what is involved in creating a proper memorial by explaining the different concepts, traditions, techniques, materials and design possibilities.

Memorials of all shapes, sizes and colors are available, and any can be created to reflect the personality of the individual, place or event it commemorates. We value and appreciate the opportunity to serve you and your family.

I am honored to be the Community Clergy Liaison for The Pine Box Agency and Day Funeral Service. I feel that I am still honoring my call as a retried senior pastor by helping families find an alternative to expensive funerals. I work with a wonderfully dedicated team who labor diligently to assist families in arranging funerals for their loved ones. Another position that I fill is officiating in the funeral service for those who may not have a regular church home. I take this very seriously. It is my desire to leave a message with those who are hurting that will bring comfort in their grief journey.
