Bradley Michael Fournier

Bradley Michael Fournier, 38, of Chillicothe passed away unexpectedly on April 11, 2024, at the Ohio State University Medical Center. He was born on April 23rd, 1985, in Chillicothe, to the late Christopher and Debra (Retherford) Fournier. Bradley is survived by his son, Jace Michael Fournier; fiancée, Jessica Lutz; stepdaughters, Kaylee and Gracie Caplinger; grandson, Daniel Ray Bartley Jr.; and his only sibling Nicola (Mike) Gibson. She loved her brother with all her heart, and he meant the absolute world to her. He is also survived by his nephew, Zachary Gibson; and niece Mckenzie Gibson. Grandparents, Barabara (Ken) Strausbaugh; aunts and uncles, Vicki (Harry) Conrad, Tim Retherford, Jodi Brown, and Dale Graves; cousins Dawn Throckmorton, Richard Graves, Stacie Retherford, Jeremy and Wayne Conrad and Kalea and Kerry Brown. Bradley was preceded in death by both parents, Chris and Deb Fournier; his son Christopher Fournier; grandparents, Silvia Fournier and Bill Retherford; and his aunt, Anita Graves. Bradley graduated from the Pickaway Ross Vocational School in Chillicothe where he was one of the tops of his class and won national competitions for his craftsmanship. He was a member of the Rock City Church in Hilliard and employed by Holdren Inc. as a contractor. From a very early age, Bradley was an incredibly skilled craftsman and there wasn’t anything he couldn’t build or paint to perfection. He was very passionate about his work, and it showed. Bradley’s son Jace was his best friend and his whole world. Anyone that knew him knew how much he loved his son Jace, his mini-me. Brad was so proud and excited to be a father and took the challenge to be Jace’s best friend and mentor in life. Bradley’s funny, high energy and ornery character was quickly passed down to Jace. Bradley was an avid dirt track racing fan ever since he was a child and spent many weekends at the dirt tracks at KC Raceway or Eldora, both in Ohio. He passed on that love for dirt track racing to his son, making many memories while at the track with him. Him and Jace also enjoyed riding bikes together, which they often did, playing Fortnite, building Legos and playing football. These were some of Jace’s favorite things that he did with his father. Another person that was very special in his life was his cousin, Richard Graves. They had a special bond since they were kids, only being a few months apart in age, they were more like brothers. And no matter what, Richard was always there for Bradley, he knew he could always depend on and confide in him for anything, up until the day he died. Jason and Lindsey Willett were also very special to Bradley and had been best friends with him over the years and was always there for him when he needed it. Lastly, Glenn and Glenda Gibson, who were also important to him. We will be having a celebration of life at a later date.
