Harold Victor Sharb

Harold Victor “Vic” Sharb, 81, of Baltimore, Ohio, passed peacefully in his sleep on Friday, March 7, 2025, at his ‘home’ at StoryPoint Independent Living in Pickerington, Ohio. Born December 8, 1943, at St. Ann’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, he was the son of the late Victor and Hazel (Crow) Sharb. Vic graduated from Logan High School in 1961, served in the U.S. Army from 1964 to 1966, worked as a master auto mechanic for many years in his father’s Sohio station in Nelsonville, moved with his family to Baltimore in 1977, and finished his career of many years in the manufacturing industry. He retired as a production supervisor from Constar Plastics, in Hebron Ohio in 2008. Vic was a sports and car enthusiast, an avid fisherman in his younger years, and someone who loved to joke and have fun. Vic loved most sports—collegiate and professional; he also loved watching his grandchildren in the various sports they played. Vic owned and tinkered with many cars throughout the years, owning six corvettes in his lifetime and participating in the local corvette club for several years; he also owned a few leisure cars, including some he restored. In addition, he loved the fishing trips he took to Canada with various people during mid-life, including his son, grandson, father, father-in-law, and several friends. Family and friends will miss Vic’s ornery smile, silly demeanor, and his jokes and funny stories. He is survived by his two adult children and their spouses: Heather (Jarred) Church and Heath (Amy) Sharb; grandchildren: Madison Arent (fiancee, Jack Lewarchick); Luke, Carly and Sophie Sharb; a sweet basset hound named Yori; a sister, Carol ‘Sue’ Sharb Blecher; three nieces, two nephews, and many friends who will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of fifty years, Lucinda (Cinda) Cope Sharb; brother, Robert (Bob) Sharb; sister, Sharron Talbert; a nephew, Theodore Tom, Sr., and his parents. Per Vic’s request, no funeral will be observed; an intimate Celebration of Life will take place among family.
