Leah Phillips Allbright Young

Leah Phillips Allbright Young went to be with Jesus, sooner than we would have liked her to, on November 20, 2021. Leah was born in Columbus, Ohio on July 21, 1974, to J. Kimberly Herve and Jack A. Burns. She was predeceased by her first husband, Jason M-A. Allbright, grandfathers Dean Phillips and Willard Burns, stepfather Brent L. Elwood, niece June Elwood, adopted grandmother LaRea Carter and stepdaughter Ella Young. Leah left behind her husband Jason (Jake) Young, her adored children Hayley, Jacob and Zachary Allbright, stepchildren Austin Martin, Ethan, and Emma Young. She was a proud sibling to her sister Ashley Addison (Barry), Brothers Anthony Burns (Melissa), Stephen Burns, Elijah Darnall (Emily), Nathaniel Elwood (Kristin), Kavan Elwood (Lacie), Addison Elwood (Kacy), Sisters Olivia Elwood (Enrique) and Harmony Burns. Leah also left behind her cherished granddaughter Amelia Rose and adored nieces and nephews Kayla, Madelyn, Delaney, Jackson, Josie, Norah, Josslyn, Camdyn, Aurora, Riley, Ezra, Brentley, Mason, Barry and Rosie (and she could tell you every single one of their birthdays off the top of her head!), brother-in-laws Andrew (Heather) and Jared Allbright and adopted mother Sandra Lucas. Leah was the oldest of her 9 siblings and was the most incredible “Sissy” that a sibling could have asked for, or ever even imagined and they all looked to her as the matriarch and “the rock of the family”. Since Leah became a sister at the age of 5 years old, she was selfless, nurturing, and affectionate and it only intensified as she matured and became a mother. Leah was an amazing example to everyone blessed enough to be around her with her incredible work ethic, her perseverance in tough circumstances and her natural ability to lead a team or take control when the situation arose. She had a beautiful, contagious smile and would light up the room with her matchless personality. Leah had a gift of not only making friends with everyone, but to be loved by everyone that knew her. Leah loved to joke around, play pranks on people, and laugh until tears ran down her legs. She was an incredible baker, cake decorator, gift giver and memory maker. Leah lived for spending quality time with her family and friends. She was known for movie nights at the ABE Manor driving people crazy with her narrations. She had a special way of making people feel loved, special, and welcomed. Leah was beyond generous, loved selflessly and was truly a beacon of light to her family, friends, and coworkers.
