Lisa Jean Hoover

Lisa Jean (Webb, Walters) Hoover, 62, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away due to a series of health complications on December 9, 2023. Lisa was born to the late Joseph and Maxine Webb on November 14, 1961. She is also predeceased by brothers, Rick Montgomery and Terry Webb, and sister, Sheila Bevins. She is survived by brother, Joey Webb; Ex-husband and current long-term life partner, Douglas Walters; and the following children and grandchildren. Son, Todd Webb, spouse Kristina, grandchildren: Holly, Haillie, Alexzander and Zachery. Daughter, Tessa Walters, spouse Robert, grandchildren: Anthony, Corey, Haylie and Hunter. Son, Jason Walters, spouse Tiffanie, grandchildren: Elizabeth and Jacob. Son, John Hoover Jr., spouse Cheyenne, grandchildren: Trinity and Gabriel. Son, Dustin Hoover, grandchildren: Trevor and Emma. Lisa Jean was loved and cherished by many. She didn’t know a stranger in this world. She was not only a mother but a partner, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend; she was a giver. And while she didn’t have much herself, it was with deep compassion she loved helping those in her community less fortunate than herself. She made a lasting impression on all who met and knew her. Lisa was loud and silly, and she loved to laugh. She considered everyone a friend, yet treated them like family. She was known for and often prided herself on the nicknames she would give family and those close to her. If you were assigned a nickname by Lisa, it was safe to assume that she considered you family. Her most cherished pastime was listening to music as loud as it would go, and dancing like no one was watching. Even in the most complicated parts of her health, it was in her favorite songs she seemed to find comfort. It is safe to say that her children’s large and diverse taste in music is most certainly a result of her love and influence. A smile bright as gold and hugs everlasting; Lisa had a very special way of making sure you knew she cared. A free spirit she was, and so will she forever be. Taken from this world far too soon, Lisa will be forever missed and fiercely loved; as she now dances through the heavens above. In lieu of formal services, a celebration of life, in true Lisa Jean fashion, will be held by her children when the warmer months approach. Contact will be made once a definitive date is set. In the meantime, please honor Lisa’s memory by blasting your music as loud as it will go, and don’t forget to dance like no one’s watching!
