Sharon Lee Will

Sharon Lee Will, 78, of Canal Winchester, died on May 6, 2026, after a long and courageous fight with sarcoma. Sharon was known for her kindness, creativity, and generosity in sharing her knowledge. She approached life with thoughtfulness and imagination. Born to Helen and Thomas Slusser, Sharon developed an early love of the outdoors. Childhood camping trips sparked a lifelong passion for travel, exploration, and national parks. Over the years, she visited forty-nine states, leaving Alaska as the one place she had yet to explore. Hilton Head Island also held a special place in her heart, especially the time she spent there with close friends and family. Sharon lived an active, connected life. She enjoyed golfing and biking with her husband, Jim, and valued the friendships formed along the way. Creativity remained a constant thread throughout her life. An accomplished seamstress and knitter, she later helped start Studio 7.5, creating a space where she embraced watercolor painting and continued to expand her artistic expression. Being a grandmother brought her deep joy. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, sharing crafts and encouraging their curiosity. Sharon will be remembered for her positivity and resilience. Even after her diagnosis, she remained committed to living fully - continuing to travel, paint, and pursue the experiences on her bucket list. Family was at the center of her life, and she deeply valued both her immediate and extended family. She is survived by her husband, James Will; her children, Rebecca Hartzler and her son, Aiden Silverstein, Anne Hartzler and her partner, Peter O’Rourke; Michael (Jillyan) Will and their daughter, Kamryn Will, and Brett Will; her sister Susan (James) Clay; and her nieces, Amanda Clay and her partner, Justin Di Ianni, and Kathryn Clay and her husband, Connor Kilpatric, and their son, Jack. A celebration of Sharon’s life will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2026, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. Additional details will be shared with family and friends. Sharon’s warmth, creativity, and enduring optimism will be remembered by all who knew her.
