David Marion Best

David Marion Best, 92, passed away peacefully at Mount Carmel East Hospital on March 8, 2022. David was born on November 26, 1929, in Columbus, Ohio. David is preceded in death by his parents, Bertram M. Best and Mamie E. Vanlear; ex-wife, Ruthie Burris; and nieces and nephews, Joann Disbennett, Jimmy Partlow, Robin Partlow, Linda Leach, and Ricky Leach. He is survived by his sisters, Marilyn Partlow and Barbara Leach; nieces, Brenda Davis and Barbara (Mike) Belair; nephews, Rusty (Kim) Leach and Mike Leach; great-nieces and nephews; and great-great-nieces and nephews. David served his country in the United States Air Force as a skilled automotive equipment mechanic located in Okinawa, Japan. He received an Occupation Medal for his service in Japan. David was also a professional photographer and had his own karaoke business called “Gold Star Karaoke.” He was a good singer and enjoyed karaoke with his family. David will be deeply missed. A celebration of life ceremony will be held in his honor on March 17, 2022, with visitation from 11AM to noon. The service will begin at 12PM with lunch following. The celebration will take place at Peace Lutheran Church, located at 455 Clark State Road, Gahanna, Ohio 43230. Arrangements have been entrusted to Day Funeral Service.
