Linda Lou Jensen
January 10, 1943 - March 12, 2022
Linda Jensen passed peacefully at the beautiful FairHope Hospice in Lancaster, OH on March 12, 2022. Her last days were spent surrounded by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her faithful dog, Noel. Linda was born January 10, 1943 to Fern and Cecil Carpenter. She was preceded in death by her parents as well as two infant sons, Timothy Cecil and David Michael and her brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Linda Jane Carpenter. Linda spent many years working in the mortgage industry, retiring from the Huntington. Her sons refurbished a one room schoolhouse, which her dad had actually attended, for her home. They later moved an old log cabin from Portsmouth and added it on as an addition which became a Bed & Breakfast. She prepared and served many private dinner parties in the schoolhouse. She loved entertaining people from all over the world. Linda's greatest pride and joy was her family. Her first son, Larry Allen, married Lori Stebelton and they had two children, Carl “Ryan” and Taylor. Taylor married Bradley Kinnison and they have two beautiful girls, Lillian “Lilly” and Ellanor “Ella.” They brought Linda so much joy with their visits to see “Great,” as the girls affectionately named her. One year later, her second son, Gary Lee, was born. He married Lisa Furniss and they had three children, Jessica, Kaitlin and Joshua. Jessica was Linda’s first grandchild. Jessica married Mat Kraft giving Linda her first great-grandchild, Camdyn and later on Kye. Joshua married Kaylee Wlosowicz and they have Lucy and Grace. The next year, Linda’s third son, Victor Robert “Bobby” was born and he married Lucinda “Cindy” Ford and they have four children; Madison, Mackenzie, Micah and Mitchell. Micah married Katelyn “Kate” Weaver and they are parents to Everly, a beautiful baby girl who entertained Linda frequently. After three rowdy boys, Linda finally had a girl, Linda “Marlene.” Marlene married Joshua Wade and they had twin boys, Alexander “Alex” and Nathaniel “Nathan.” For the past several years, Marlene has driven from Indiana most every weekend to care for her mom. That little tomboy turned out to be the most loving and compassionate person I know. As you can see Linda is survived by many children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews along with countless friends. I’m her sister, Joyce, and I wrote this long obituary. I can honestly say Linda will be missed by so many. I just couldn’t shorten this for someone like her. A celebration of life ceremony will be held at Shalom United Methodist Church, 4925 Plum Rd Carroll, OH 43112 on March 26, 2022 at 11am with family receiving visitors prior to service from 10-11am. In lieu of flowers, donations are welcomed to FairHope Hospice or any charity of your choice in Linda’s name. Day Funeral Service is honored to serve the family of Linda Jensen.
