Mr. Luther Herbert Stewart III (Sandy) sunrise March 6, 1950, sunset July 16, 2020. He was born in Columbus, Ohio to the union of Mary Alice and Luther Herbert Stewart Jr. He graduated from Central High School. Luther worked for the Neil House, Avery Pontiac, Crain Plastic and retired from OSU. Luther was baptized at (GECOP) Greater Ebenezer Cathedral of Praise in April of 2012. He loved the Lord and praised and thanked God daily for his many blessings. His favorite scripture: If God is for us who can be against us? His favorite song was Amazing Grace. He loved working with his hands; he was always busy. He also loved fishing, boating, skating, biking, working on cars and carpentry; he was a jack of all trades. He would help anybody that needed help, sometimes for a small fee. He was the pillar of the community. He will be missed by us all. His last words to his wife were, “Honey, get some rest. Now I can rest my love because I know you are at rest. Rest and peace to God be the glory.” Preceded in death by parents, Mary Alice and Luther Herbert Stewart Jr.; daughter, Carmen Gibbs Stewart; brother, Franklin A. Stewart; aunts, Georgianna P. So he put his arms around you and whispered, ‘come to me,’ a golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best. I am the resurrection and the Life: He that believeth in me though he were dead yet shall he live. And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die” John 11:25-26.
