Michael Scott Robar
September 28, 1963 - February 19, 2022
Michael Scott Robar was born September 28, 1963 in La Chapelle-Saint-Mesmin, France as a military dependent to James H. Robar, US Army and Lorna B. Robar. He was the third of three boys who was always trying to keep up to them. He spent some of his growing up years in St. Louis, Mi on the family farm and later years in several places in Germany. He graduated from Wuerzburg American High School in 1981. He started at Michigan State University, but then took a break, spending some time back in Germany working with Young Life and the military dependents. He decided he wanted to continue studies at MSU, receiving his BSPsychology, December 1987. He enjoyed singing with the Spartan Dischords and involved in InterVarsity, playing guitar. He met Lynnette E. Holt his last semester at MSU. They were married in July 1988 and moved to Pasadena, CA in August 1988 to attend Fuller Theological Seminary, receiving a MTheology, June 1993. He and his wife were blessed with two children, Kaitlyn Michelle, March 1993 and Heather Elaine, April 1994. They moved to Gahanna, OH in January, 1997. Michael worked in IT as well as being involved in the music ministry at Mifflin Presbyterian Church, Gahanna. Through many years of declining health and serious physical issues, Michael passed away on February 19, 2022.
