Richard Michael Carroll

February 7, 1941 - May 1, 2022

Richard Michael Carroll, age 81, went home to Beulah Land on May 1, 2022. Dick was born February 7, 1941, to the late Katherine D. Carroll. Upon graduating from Linden McKinley High School in 1959, Dick worked for a short time for the City of Columbus. Dick then went to work in the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 189 where he worked as a pipefitter for 33 years. In 1964, Dick married Joan M. DiFrancisco whom he remained married to for 57 years. Dick enjoyed hunting, fishing and taught all his children to shoot a gun and to hook a fish. Dick was an avid shooter in his younger days often competing in skeet shoots. Dick also enjoyed watching The Ohio State Buckeyes basketball and football teams and the Cleveland Browns (he was old enough to remember when the Browns actually won a championship!) Dick also enjoyed watching his children play soccer, and compete on the local swim team. Dick is preceded in death by his mother; his eldest daughter, Cathleen Marie Davis; and is survived by his wife, Joan; daughter, Patricia Carroll; son, Michael A. Carroll (Moni) and Julie Blind (Brian); Eight grandchildren- Jeremy and Amanda Davis; Ashton Cyphert (Kevin); Nick Blind; Logan, Reagan, Isaiah, and Joshua Carroll; Five great grandchildren-Marley Fralick, Brynleigh Cyphert; Bentley, Isabella and Kylie Davis. Friends and family may call Thursday, May 5, 2022 from 4:00-6:30 PM with a memorial service at 6:30 PM at CrossRoads Baptist Church 5075 Cleveland Avenue Columbus, Ohio 43231.
