In Loving Memory of Anthony Cortez Tucker “Ant” • “The Local Hero” It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Anthony Cortez Tucker, affectionately known as “Ant” and to many as “The Local Hero.” On July 13, 2026, Anthony Tucker went to be with the Lord. Anthony loved spending time with his family and friends. He had a deep passion for learning, traveling, and music. He also spent countless hours working on cars, something he truly enjoyed and took great pride in. Anthony proudly served in the United States Navy and carried that same sense of dedication throughout his life. He was an active member of a cigar club and enjoyed connecting with others through his podcast, where he shared conversations, ideas, and his unique perspective on life. Anthony was well known, liked, and loved within the cigar community. He had a talent for building connections and friendships through his insightful interviews with Cigar Lounging Podcast, arranging his "We Outside" Cigar events in various cities, and bringing the community together to raise money for various charitable causes throughout the year. His absence is felt by his close friends in the small, private cigar groups and clubs he was a part of. Many of whom would have a story or two about many late nights in shared laughter, good cigars, and shared respect and camaraderie. Anthony was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Bernice Tucker; his grandparents Juanita Tucker and Willie Tucker; his Aunt Bookie; and his Uncle Bobby. Anthony is survived by his brothers, Alvin Tucker and Tevin Tucker; his sister, Monique Batiste; his Aunt Ruby and his beloved daughters, AniJ Fluker Tucker, Mariah Tucker, and son Sylar Fiala Tucker. Anthony is also survived by cousins DeAngelo Davis, Angeliqic Davis, Bashyria Davis, Tiffany Riley, Dawone Tucker, Deshaun Smith, Danauris Smith, Tamara Smith, and Shanita Tucker. Anthony leaves behind his loving friends: Kendrick Brown, Kimberly Jackson, MJ Johnson, Mr. Ray, Brandon Saxton, Sir Gilliam Pacheco III, Rick and Andrew Miller. Good Night You've gone on home before us, A little while I'll wait to join you in that Heavenly place; Where your soul has taken flight, I will say to my dear one, Good Night! We shall meet, B-Neath Heavens dawn, I shall miss you here among us, For life with us was sweet, so I will meet you in the morning, So for now we will say, "Good Night!!!"
