Janet Mae Stidham (Couch), 78, passed away on December 2nd, 2023, in Columbus, Ohio. She is survived by her daughter Lana, granddaughter Natalie, grandsons Kyle, Brandon, and Tyler, great-granddaughter Chloe Mae, sons-in-law Bobby and Mike, grandson-in-law Bradley, and granddaughter-in-law Kayla. She was predeceased by her husband Noah, daughters Tonya and Jobeth, daughter-in-law Venita, mother Mary, father Lee, sisters Joretta, Shirley, Barbara, Jackie, Patty, Carol, and Sarah, and brother George. Her family paid these loving tributes to her: "My mom was amazing, to say the least. She was born a baby boomer and had 2 sisters I never met. As days go by without her physically here, I’m finding more things I never knew or realized about her. She had so much knowledge about things, and yet never touched a computer or Googled anything. I regret not getting to know my mom the way I’ll never be able to now that she has passed. I am forever thankful for the things she did tell/teach me. I love you, Mom, and thank you for always being there for all of us." - Lana "Mammaw, you were such an amazing woman. I am so proud to be your granddaughter. You loved your family fiercely, and there’s nothing you wouldn’t do for us. You were undoubtedly the funniest person I’ve ever known. Your sense of humor was passed down to your family, to each and every one of us, and I hope you’re proud of that. You have a lot to be proud of. Thank you for loving me, protecting me, caring for me, teaching me, and for always making me smile and laugh no matter what. I am the person I am today because of you, and I hope I’ve made you proud. She always put her grandchildren first and she was there whenever I needed her, day or night. I'll forever cherish the memories I have of her - staying the night at her house as a child with my sister and cousins, watching horror movies and getting scared together, and celebrating every Halloween by going all out. I've missed her for years and will continue to miss her until we meet again. It’s because of you that I have a love for gardening, the earth, and cooking good food for myself and others. Every time I make a pancake or cook bacon I think of you. Every cup of coffee I brew smells just like your house always did.
