Robert Allan Siebert

Robert “Bob” Allan Siebert passed away while under hospice care at the Kobacker House in Columbus, Ohio on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at the age of 72. Bob is survived by his loving daughter, Michelle Siebert; her children, Blake and Braxton Stephenson; sister, Jenny (Greg) Davis; nieces, Amy Smith and Carrie Davis; nephew, Matthew (Ashley) Davis, and many great nieces and nephews. As special mention, he is survived by special friends, Cynthia (Dale) Wagoner and Michael (Michelle) Gourley. Bob is preceded in death by his parents, William “Bill” and Vivien C. (Harper) Siebert; nephews, Michael Jon Davis and Mark Reid. Bob was born October 25, 1951 in Painesville, Ohio to William “Bill” and Vivien C. (Harper) Siebert. He graduated from Hilliard High School in 1969 and enlisted himself into the United States Navy in April of 1970. Bob served his country for eight years as a Fire Control Technician and a Fire Control Technician Instructor while in the Navy. He served on the USS-Decatur (DDG-31), USS Somers (DDG-34), and the USS Waddell (DDG-24). Bob did three Naval cruises in the Pacific theater and served during and in the Vietnam conflict. Bob completed four Naval schools while serving, in Bainbridge Maryland, Great Lakes Illinois, Vallejo California, and Mayer Island California. After leaving the United States Navy, Bob, resided in California, continuing in his chosen career as an electrical engineer with his family. Bob settled down near Atlanta, Georgia for most of his working life. He had since retired back to Hilliard, Ohio to spend time with family and friends for a short time, with his daughter, Michelle, taking care of him for the last year up to his passing. Bob truly enjoyed science, building things, Westerns, and talking about his time in the Navy. During Bob’s life he liked to keep to himself and his small circle. To the ones who knew him, he was an intelligent and witty person. Bob’s wishes were to have no funeral services.
